Blimey Guys...

I want to say a huge massive thank you to all of you! Between all of you who have either donated, or sent messages of support, you have all reduced me to tears of joy.

Basically, I needed £1000 up front to the university to allow me to register as a 2nd year student and get my loan for this academic year. On top of this £1000 I owed them a further £1600. So courtesy of you wonderfully generous individuals, I have now raised £1700 in donations.

I'm more than happy to receive any further donations which will obviously go in the direction of my debt, but I am capable of working off the remaining £900 in installments to the university.

So what I'm saying is one huge thank you to each and every one of you. I really couldn't have done it without you, and I feel such a weight lifted off my shoulders because of your generosity.

I promise, I will pay the deed forward when I'm in a position to do so.

For now, I will leave the link to paypal as it is, but change the wording on it.

Thank you all so much.

Congratulations on making your total.

I'm sorry it's not much, but as a student too...

I have been reading your blog and can see how hrd you work and it seems so unfair that I know so many sodding malingerers and you're doing 3 jobs at a time.

Don't hesitate to ask again if you get stuck and best of luck in your course.

Sigh of relief. So glad you got past the first hurdle. All the best hon.

Hi, I could only give a little bit as I'm quite skint myself this month but I really hope it helps. It seems so unfair that you're training to do something that will give back to society and you're expected to find massive amounts of cash to fund yourself, I do feel that people should only have to pay towards a medical degree if they drop out partway through, those who go on to finish and work in our hospitals and GP surgeries should be fully funded. Best of luck with your studies, I hope it all works out for you!

Heya chuck, sorry I missed all this, have sent a little bit your way anyhows. You can buy me a pint when you next see me ;-) I'm only kidding, glad your financial situation is looking a lot better.

You know I gripe about the same thing, bloody government and bloody top-up fees, gah.

Hey

I'm sorry i've not been able to help with any monetary help (I graduated and still am looking for a job) so when I have a job I will try and put some in the pot - for now if I can be moral support or a shoulder to cry on. Just drop me an email or a message on my blog.

So pleased about the outcome of your fiancial crisis .

Question - given the pressures you are under don't you think you should perhaps give up the voluntary work ?

Wow. I didn't think you'd be able to raise any significant amount of money through a blog. I'm awfully glad to be proved wrong!

Hi Merys,

Sorry I missed this earlier, I'm not around much at the moment.

Hi Merys,

I'm really glad we could be of some help. I'm pleased that you can continue. Keep up the good work and take care of yourself.

Speaking to everyone who posts to this blog: It fills me with hope when I see people so keen to help someone who sacrifices so much to help others.
Well done guys.

hey Myrs,

just dropped you the tiniest donation....sorry it can't be more. Doctors have saved my life more times than I care to think about due to complex health issues, we need more of you, and I wish you all the luck in the world. x

Wow, incredible!

I was going to say that it's now up to you to do the rest, but it's not really - my donation was (very small and) no strings attached.
I'm sure you will get there, though!

Hi Merys,
We run a work related website and would like to post some your blogs on our site which will increase you readership, raise some of the work issues, increase your page rank, amongst other things. I can send a complete overview of exactly what we can offer. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks,

Leo
